Mokpo National University, which has grown together with the region for over 80 years since its opening as Mokpo Normal School to nurture talents who will firmly build the country, has now established itself as a nationally oriented university representing the southwestern region.

In order to wisely overcome the crisis faced by the university in the wave of change that came with the 4th Industrial Revolution, Mokpo National University intends to take a step of hope for challenge and innovation.

We will innovate into a consumer-oriented future education system that is chosen by students and parents. We will closely manage students from admission to graduation, and enjoy the glory of brilliant student success.

We will innovate as an excellent model for industry-academia cooperation that leads regional development and coexistence in cooperation with the region. We will mobilize all the capabilities of the university to support the main industries of the region and open all the resources of the university to the region to make the university a base for the cultural welfare of the local people.
