Audacious Intellects, PNU

PNU is the first national university in the Republic of Korea, founded in May 1946.

PNU, known as the university of the citizens, has been conducting a leading role in the long journey of industrialization and democratization of South Korea.

With 19 colleges and professional schools in four campuses of Busan, Yangsan, Miryang and Ami, PNU is the flagship university in the Korea’s second region, and the largest national university in the country.

Upon the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, we are doing our best to contribute to human life through world-class research and to nurture gifted students with prowess, expertise, decency, and initiative.

We are aware that abnormal concentration of a metropolitan region interrupts the national development and is no longer sustainable. A balanced national development is a historical task and a governmental responsibility, and it shall be therefore accomplished soon.

Leading the way in the era of balanced national development, PNU will undertake an audacious journey to become the most prestigious university representing South Korea.
