Kwangwoon University was founded in 1934 by Dr. Cho Kwangwoon (pen name: Hwado), who foresaw the necessity of wireless communication and electronic engineering education as the core of the future of Korea.

Since its foundation, Kwangwoon’s talented graduates have actively engaged in various fields of society, not to mention the electronic industry. As a result, the alumni of Kwangwoon University are currently recognized for their outstanding talents at home and abroad.

With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, individuals and their society are facing the demands of irreversible change.
