1962년에 개교하여 60년 이상의 역사와 전통을 자랑하고 있는 계명문화대학교는 ‘진리와 정의와 사랑의 나라를 위하여’라는 창학이념 아래 고등 직업교육기관으로서 인간을 사랑하고 국가와 사회의 발전에 능동적이고 창의적으로 기여하는 전문직업리더를 양성하고 있습니다.

계명문화대학교는 지역 및 산업, 대학간의 연계를 강화하고 국내외 산업현장에 맞는 전공교육과 문화적 소양 및 교양을 함양하는 인성교육에 집중하고 있습니다. 또한 교육의 본질, 즉 잘 가르치고 잘 배울 수 있도록 전공 및 교양 교육과정을 재정비하고 교수-학습의 혁신을 강조하고 있습니다.

이에 교수·학습지원 체제 및 운영 실적의 우수성을 인증받아 교육부가 주관하는 2020년 우수 교수·학습지원센터에 선정되었습니다.

교육의 질 제고를 위한 노력의 결과, 대학혁신지원사업, 산학연협력 선도 전문대학 육성사업(LINC 3.0), 고등직업교육거점지구사업(HiVE), 대학일자리플러스센터사업, K-Move스쿨 우수과정 운영기관, 파란사다리사업 주관대학, 한국국제협력단(KOICA) 민관협력 사업(우즈베키스탄, 볼리비아) 등의 국고 지원사업 선정과 전문대학 기관평가인증, 교육국제화역량 인증대학, 간호교육인증평가, 영양사교육과정 평가, Best HRD 심사에서 ‘인증’을 획득하여 대학교육의 경쟁력과 우수성을 인증받고 있습니다.

또한 해외봉사활동, 교육기부 등 지역사회 나눔을 꾸준히 실천하여 2017년 교육기부 명예의 전당 헌액에 이어, 2019년 교육기부대상을 수상하였습니다.

앞으로도 우리 대학은 급변하는 산업환경과 교육환경 속에서 고등직업교육기관으로서의 전공교육과 인성교육을 실천할 것입니다. 또한 학생들이 배움의 즐거움을 알고, 바르게 배우고, 바르게 성장할 수 있도록, 나아가 학생들이 행복한 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 끊임없이 변화하고 노력할 것입니다.

As it celebrates its sixtieth anniversary, KMCU is nurturing professional leaders who love people and contributing to national and social development actively and creatively based on its motto “For the country of truth, justice, and love.”

Keimyung College University strengthens the links between regions, industries, and universities while focusing on course education aimed at domestic and overseas industrial sites and character education that cultivates cultural knowledge and refinement. We are also reorganizing our major and liberal arts curriculums so that our teachers and students may effectively teach and learn the essence of education with a focus on innovative instruction and learning. Accordingly, the excellence of our teaching/learning support system and operating performance has been recognized—we were chosen as the 2020 Outstanding Teaching/Learning Support Center by the Ministry of Education.

As a result of our efforts to improve the quality of education, we have been selected to participate in government-funded projects such as SCK, LINC 3.0, HiVE, Blue-Ladder Program, K-MOVE, KOICA’s higher-education cooperation program, and customized regional job-creation projects and obtained certifications for such projects, including the Institutional Evaluation of Junior Colleges, the International Education Quality Assurance System, Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education, Diatetic Education and evaluation, Health and Medical Information Management Education and the BEST HRD evaluation. As these achievements show, our competitive and excellent educational offer is highly appreciated.

Furthermore, we were inducted into the Educational Donation Hall of Fame in 2017 and awarded the 2019 Educational Donation Grand Prize for our community projects, including overseas volunteering activities and educational aid.

In the future, KMCU will practice course and character education as a higher vocational education institution in the rapidly changing industrial and academic environment. We will also make constant changes and efforts to help our students know the joy of learning properly and creating a positive future.
